Happy Long Weekend!

Hope you survived the long weekend that was long.

I hate Easter..with a passion. So, glad that it is over for another year. Now that the kids are getting a older, it is getting easier to downplay the whole thing.

Poor manpet had to spend a little too much family quality time together, with the playstation network down for the last 4 days. To think of all the poor partners stuck with game withdrawn men (and women I guess too) all over the world this long weekend. Wonder if murder rates are up?

Poor ANZAC Day tucked in on the end, stupid bunny and chocolate stealing it’s thunder. Is it just me, or it is just a little tacky to “celebrate” it, and greet each other with Happy ANZAC Day?

I have nothing against ANZAC Day, all though it does seem to have it in for me. Every year, without fail around this time I get sick with asthma and related stuff. I remember watching the ANZAC march quite a few times from hospital as a kid. Thankfully, it isn’t as bad these days. Usually just a chest infection, sometimes pneumonia, and one time some pleurisy. Just really weird that it is like clock work every year?

Eric showing off pretty well what we got up to this weekend. Caught up on some movie and TV downloads…and lots of naps.

New Cadbury Mousse Chocolate

So delicious it’s best kept hidden… Gee, thanks for telling me that NOW Cadbury, you could have put that warning on the packaging as well. A bit late after I have gone to eat the last of my block that I’d saved for after dinner, and the manpet has eaten it all!!

I spotted this new chocolate in Big W the other day, on special and being a sucker for anything new I had to grab some. We tried the Chocolate and Caramel, but it also comes in Hazelnut.

So, what’s it like? It’s bloody awesome!! I have a bit of a texture issue, I am not overly keen on most chocolates with a filling. But the mousse is just right, to too hard or too squishy.

But the best part, is the piece size. You can pretend to be good and just eat 2 bits ;)

Yoga Kittehs

We all know how flexible cats are, the way they contort their body into the weirdest sleeping positions. Well, we now know their secret…yoga!

Yoga Cats (and Dogs) is the work of Texan couple Dan and Alejandra Borris. Dan uses his photography and photoshop skills along with Alejandra’s yoga expertise combine to make a wonderful series of dogs and cats doing yoga. Yoga Dogs and cats calendars and books are available.

All the animals used in Dan’s work are from the The Animal Defense League, with a portion of profits donated to charity.

Urban Rituelle – Super Yummy Smelly Stuff

I had tried Urban Rituelle many years ago, but it wasn’t until Rah bought me some for my birthday last year that I became hooked.

I have a super sense of smell (which is quite often a curse…so.many.stinky.people!!) But I also find I am allergic to a lot of regular commercial perfumes. So finding something that smells awesome, and doesn’t make me sense my head of can be near impossible.

Urban Rituelle is an Australian owned husband and wife team. They have a great range of yummy smelly stuff, regular perfumes (which are my fav) they do also do soaps, moisturisers, lip balms, candles and even a Men’s and Baby range.

The Sweet Treats collection is A..mazing! The bestest one, that you just MUST have, is the Cotton Candy..YUM! I’m really enjoying the Peach Blossom too at the moment.

Their range is great vaule for money, postage is fast. And they even throw in a GWP (gift with purchase) hard to pass up!

Check them out at www.urbanrituelle.com.au and shop online, or their store in Caringbah.

Australian Plus Size Clothing Shopping Guide

Shopping online is increasingly becoming many women’s shopping method of choice. And why not, when it is so convenient and easy. You can shop at any time of the day or night, and quite often you will get a much better range and cheaper as well.

Clothes shopping for those of us who don’t fit retails idea of what size Australian women are, can find regular shopping an absolute nightmare. The majority of mainstream Australian retailers are just doing plus sizes clothing wrong. I feel your pain ladies, so I have put together a list of plus size retailers both here in Australia and over seas. If you know of a store, let me know I would love to add it to the list.
